Mesmerizing Yosemite Horsetail Firefall

Horsetail Fall, located in Yosemite National Park in California, is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. It flows over the east side of El Capitan, so as a backdrop it has one of the most impressive walls of granite in the entire park. Then during February something amazing happens. During middle to late February, when the sky is clear, the very last sunrays of the day selectively linger on the falls, lighting it up with a golden glow that makes the water look like lava.

The Yosemite Horsetail Firefall is a popular phenomenon. Each year hundreds of photographers and park visitors gather in the waning evening light for this amazing natural display.

Mussoorie, the 'Queen of Hills' is a paradise. Everywhere eyes are set, there is beauty unlimited. At a height of 7000 ft, it offers commanding views of snow capped peaks in the north east and the beautiful sprawling green Doon valley towards the south. Since then tourists haven't stopped pouring in here. Never on official records, the air of informality hung in Mussoorie. it was as if it is left for the 'affairs of the heart'. And it was not long after that Mussoorie had to its credit, the title of 'honeymoon capital of India', where romance flutters everywhere.
The busiest of all, Mussoorie has a hectic social life, the malls, shops, tourists all this makes sure that the place does not have a dull day in calender through out the year. Being so popular Mussoorie is a highly developed hill station. It has all the facilities to cater to domestic and foreign tourists.

Kempty Falls Musoorie India -Himalayan Range from Musoorie

Kempty Falls are one of the most beautiful water falls in not only Uttarakhand, rather the whole of India. Enveloped by high mountain cliffs and situated at an altitude of about 4500 feet above the sea level, the falls present an awe-inspiring view as the water falls down from a high altitude and then splits into five streams. The water falling down from Kempty Falls appears to be doing a somersault before it hits the ground. Situated on the Mussoorie-Dehradun Highway, this popular tourist location attracts crowd from all over the country.

Kempty Falls was developed as a picnic spot by the British officer John Mekinan, around 1835. It is believed that, the name ‘Kempty’ is a derivation of the ‘Camp-Tea’, the tea parties that the British used to organize here. Situated on the hilly pathway of Uttarakhand, Kempty Falls are strikingly beautiful. They prove to be the perfect place for picnic or for spending a couple of hours listening to the sound of the water-falls, amidst lush green vegetation.

Generally, Kempty Falls is crowded with tourists, but after stepping across the lines along the flow of the stream, your may found a secluded rocky corral formed naturally by the streams. The sacred river, Yamuna is not too far from the falls. After 12 km, down the hill on crossing the Aglar River, the waters of Kempty meet Yamuna. Fishing here is very popular. However, permits are to be taken from Divisional Forest Officer, Mussoorie, before fishing at Kempty Falls.
