A weird and bizarre snake was found in china, unlike a usual snake, this snake has a clawed foot!! A snake with a single clawed foot has been discovered in China, according to reports.

Dean Qiongxiu, 66, said she discovered the reptile clinging to the wall of her bedroom with its talons in the middle of the night.


"I woke up and heard a strange scratching sound. I turned on the light and saw this monster working its way along the wall using his claw," said Mrs Duan of Suining, southwest China.

Mrs Duan said she was so scared she grabbed a shoe and beat the snake to death before preserving its body in a bottle of alcohol. Wow.. could she make it into a snake syrup?

The snake – 16 inches long and the thickness of a little finger – is now being studied at the Life Sciences Department at China's West Normal University in Nanchang.

A more common mutation among snakes is the growth of a second head, which occurs in a similar way to the formation of Siamese twins in humans.

Such animals are often caught and preserved as lucky tokens but have very little chance of surviving in the wild anyway, especially as the heads have a tendency to attack each other.

9 New Animal Species In 2009

1. Family Hydrobiidae-October 22, 2009 - This newly discovered in the basement of the family Hydrobiidae snails live in the aquifers in the heart of Australia, about 100 miles (180 kilometers) northwest of Alice Springs.

0.5-inch-long (1.3-centimeter-long) snail is one of 850 new invertebrate - simple animals that includes small crustaceans, spiders, and worms - in a four-year survey of the dry Australian outback.

2. Blind cave eel-this newfound eels do not need eyes in subterranean habitats, a trait shared by most of the creatures new underground recently discovered in Australia.

at 16 inches (40 centimeters) long, eel rare - found in aquifers along the Cape Range mountains. is the longest subterranean species known in Australia, researchers said.

3. Unnamed-Uniquely adapted to live on the surface of the spring, this new, unnamed Austrochiltonia crustaceans in the genus are found only in the Great Artesian Basin of South Australia.

"What we have discovered is that you do not have to go find the depth of the ocean to discover new species of invertebrate animals - you only need to look in your own backyard," team member Andy Austin, the University of Adelaide, said in a statement.

Paroster mesosturtensis, and Paroster microsturtensis-Three species of blind, wingless water beetles in the family Dytiscidae (picture, from left to right, Paroster macrosturtensis, Paroster mesosturtensis, and Paroster microsturtensis) recently found living in soil in the western part of Australia's dry pastureland.

Larvae (not pictured) is a "fierce looking predator" who may eat smaller crustaceans - and even each other, the scientists said in October 2009.

This is Manoharan, a 27 year-old guy that performs one of the most growse-yet-cool stunts We’ve ever seen. He gets thin snakes through his nostrils and pulls them out through his mouth. Snake Manu, as he likes to be called, has already claimed a place in the Guinness Book of Records for another “most worms eaten in 30 seconds”, managing to gobble down 200 live earthworms, each measuring more than 10 cm.
Snake Manu says he started by entertaining his colleagues in school by inserting pieces of chalk through his nose and pulling them out through the nose and when he was 18 he started experimenting with snakes, his first try was with a half-dead water snake.
He says his favorite snakes are the baby cobras, because they are lightning fast and extremely poisonous. he has also used common kraits, sand boas and rat snakes.
He has also started to eat the snakes he inserts through his nose since an incident when a snake go stuck in his trachea and he had to choose between being bit by it or biting it. He chose the latter ( smart choice).
